The Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) is gearing up for the 5th National HR Convention and EXPO, scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 8, and Sunday, February 9, 2025.
With just 30 days remaining, preparations are in full swing, and registration is now open for what is expected to be MAHRP’s most impactful and dynamic event yet.
This year’s theme, Innovate, Adapt, Lead: Building Capabilities for a Changing World, emphasizes the importance of agility, innovation, and future-ready leadership in today’s fast-evolving global landscape. The convention will explore key topics, including:
- Agility and Innovation
- Human Capabilities and Leadership Development
- Revolutionizing HR through AI
- Reshaping Workforces through Wellness and Wellbeing
With over 350 participants expected, the event will feature 8 international keynote speakers, 16 local and international experts, and the addition of 4 Master Classes, making this year’s convention the largest and most comprehensive since its inception.
Celebrating Five Years of Growth and Impact
Since its launch in 2019, the MAHRP HR Convention has grown to become the largest gathering of HR professionals and people leaders in the Maldives, engaging over 1,650 participants across its four previous editions.
Keynote Speakers
The 2025 lineup includes a stellar roster of global thought leaders, such as:
- Andrew Bryant: Global Leadership Authority and Bestselling Author specializing in Self-Leadership, Team Performance, and Human Potential.
- Robin Speculand: Global Pioneer in Strategy and Digital Implementation.
- Grant Bosnick: Award-Winning Author, Keynote Speaker, and Founder of Upbeat.
- Rawan Hassan: Mental Health Advocate and Specialist in Holistic Wellness Solutions and Culture Change for organizations and individuals.
Local experts, including Mohamed Shareef, a technology leader specializing in digital transformation and cybersecurity in the Maldives, will also share valuable insights.
Speaking on the upcoming event, MAHRP President Ahmed Ibrahim said that they are thrilled to bring back their signature event to inspire and empower people leaders across the nation.

In addition to the annual HR Convention, MAHRP has hosted numerous impactful events, including the 4th HR Convention and the 5th Learning and Development (L&D) Conference, which featured top-tier speakers and consultants. These initiatives have played a vital role in shaping the HR and leadership landscape in the Maldives.
