The Bank of
Maldives (BML) hosted a city-wide carnival in Addu City, which saw a strong
turnout and enthusiastic participation from residents. The event was held at
Hithadhoo City Square and ran for three days, bringing together families,
children and community members for activities and entertainment.
The carnival
featured a wide range of family-oriented games and attractions. Children were a
major focus of the event, with dedicated play areas and activity zones that
remained busy throughout the festivities. Popular food vendors took part as
well, offering various snacks and special deals that attracted a steady crowd.
Performances by
students from different schools in Addu City added a community-driven element
to the carnival. Live music shows by well-known local bands also drew large
audiences and helped maintain a lively atmosphere.
A daily lucky draw
was held during the carnival. Four winners in total received prizes, including motorbikes,
which added excitement and anticipation among attendees. The prize distribution
was one of the most celebrated moments of the event.
Residents
expressed appreciation for the carnival, noting that such community-focused
events create shared experiences and bring people together. The turnout and
engagement demonstrated strong local support.
Such events
highlight ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and encourage greater
local participation across the Maldives.
