This high-profile familiarization (FAM) trip aims to promote the Maldives as a premier travel destination for last-minute bookings, particularly targeting travelers from the Middle East and the GCC region.

With a global following of 21 million across social media, Khalid Al Ameri is widely recognized for his engaging storytelling that bridges cultural divides and amplifies Islamic traditions. A Stanford University graduate and a celebrated digital figure, he has been featured on Gulf Business' 100 Most Powerful Arabs list and is the first social media personality to receive a Dubai Star on the Downtown Dubai Walk of Fame. His content resonates strongly with audiences in the Middle East, making him the perfect ambassador to showcase the Maldives' unique offerings.

The collaboration aligns with Visit Maldives’ strategic focus on the Middle Eastern market, which accounted for 3.9% of total tourist arrivals in 2024, with over 79,000 visitors.
