Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched an exciting new promotion giving football fans the opportunity to experience the final match of the FIFA World Cup 26 live, courtesy of its long-standing global payments partner, Visa.
The limited-time
promotion, which runs from 18 January to 15 April 2026, is open exclusively to
BML Visa cardholders and aims to reward everyday spending with an unforgettable
sporting experience. At the end of the campaign, one lucky winner will receive
two fully paid tickets to attend the FIFA World Cup 26™ final, allowing the
winner to share the moment with a companion.
To take part,
customers are required to register for the promotion through the opt-in feature
available on BML’s Mobile Banking app. Eligible participants must spend a
minimum of MVR 15,000 per month using BML Personal Visa Credit or Debit cards
via BML POS machines, Static QR payments, or the BML Payment Gateway during the
promotional period. Customers can increase their chances of winning by earning
additional entries for every extra MVR 15,000 spent beyond the monthly minimum,
enabling multiple entries throughout the campaign.
The initiative
highlights BML’s continued focus on enhancing customer engagement through
value-added promotions and exclusive experiences. By linking everyday
transactions to a global sporting event, the bank is leveraging its partnership
with Visa to offer cardholders more than just convenience, but memorable
rewards.
BML currently
issues a wide range of Visa-branded cards to meet diverse customer needs,
including Visa Classic, Gold, Platinum, and the recently introduced Visa
Infinite credit card. The bank also offers Visa Debit cards under the Debit
Classic and Debit Platinum categories, ensuring broad access to international
payment solutions for its customers.
The promotion
comes as anticipation builds globally for the FIFA World Cup 26™, positioning
BML cardholders among a select group with the chance to witness football
history live on the world’s biggest stage.
