Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched the “Stretch & Wellness” Programme, a structured employee wellness initiative aimed at improving physical health, reducing injury risks, and strengthening workplace safety across the organization.
The programme was officially inaugurated on January 29 during the Stretch & Wellness Fair 2026, held in Hulhulé. A key component of the initiative is the Stretching Programme, which focuses on employees in operational and physically demanding roles. It promotes preventive stretching practices, ergonomic awareness, injury risk reduction, and improved musculoskeletal health.
The launch event featured a formal ceremony, certificate presentations to training participants, and interactive fitness activities, including guided walking exercises and combat fitness sessions. These activities encouraged active participation and helped foster a culture of movement and wellness among employees.
In conjunction with the programme launch, MACL organized a Wellness & Health Fair, bringing together several healthcare and wellness partners. These included ADK, Wellness Club managed by Heat, Revive Fitness, AMDC, SHE, Physio Solution, Legacy Fitness, Thasalli Medical Care, and HDC. The fair provided employees with access to health screenings, wellness consultations, and various fitness-related engagement opportunities.
MACL said the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to building a safer, healthier, and more resilient workforce, while reinforcing employee well-being as a key pillar of organizational performance, operational excellence, and sustainable human capital development.
