BML Expands ATM Network to Cover All Inhabited Islands of ADh Atoll

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched ATM services in ADh. Dhidhdhoo today, marking a key milestone in its nationwide “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” program, which aims to ensure convenient access to banking services across all inhabited islands of the country.

The inauguration ceremony in Dhidhdhoo was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, along with several cabinet ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, members of the Board of Directors, and senior officials from the Bank.

As part of this latest expansion, BML announced that ATM services will be inaugurated during the week in ADh. Fenfushi, Kunburudhoo, and Mandhoo, thereby extending full ATM coverage to every inhabited island in ADh. Atoll.

Speaking at the ceremony, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef highlighted the significance of the expansion for communities in the region. “Today marks a notable milestone for the Bank and, importantly, for the communities of ADh. atoll. Our commitment has been to provide banking access to all individuals, irrespective of their location. The implementation of these ATMs demonstrates our commitment to this goal by delivering greater convenience to the residents of these islands,” he said.

The initiative forms part of BML’s broader strategy to enhance financial inclusion and accessibility across the Maldives. With the addition of the new ATMs, the Bank now operates a network of 42 branches across all 20 atolls, 189 Self Service Banking Centres, 247 ATMs, along with a comprehensive range of Agent Banking Services and advanced Digital Banking platforms.

This strategic expansion further strengthens BML’s position as the nation’s leading financial institution and underscores its ongoing efforts to bridge service gaps and bring modern banking closer to island communities.
