The Maldives
Professional Speakers Association (MPSA) launched its inaugural Professional
Speakers Summit today, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s public
speaking and communication development journey. Held at the Maldives National
University’s Faculty of Education Auditorium, the two-day event, themed
“Discover and Grow,” is designed to inspire participants to elevate their
personal and professional speaking skills. The summit was inaugurated by Dr.
Aly Shameem, the chief guest of the event.
“This is a
proud moment for our community given the opportunities ahead, and we are
committed to continuing the journey to grow our people and community,” said
Afeef Hussain, Vice President of MPSA and Chair of the summit. “We are
delighted we could kick off the first Professional Speakers Summit.”
The summit
features a dynamic lineup of masterclasses, keynote speeches, and panel
discussions delivered by international and local experts. Participants will
gain insights into creating, leading, and growing as world-class speakers and
communication professionals. The event serves as a transformative platform for
MPSA members, aspiring speakers, and communication enthusiasts, offering
opportunities to enhance confidence, explore public speaking as a career, and
connect with industry leaders.
Scheduled for
November 23-24, the summit aims to cater to seasoned speakers, trainers,
coaches, and those new to the field, opening doors to growth in the
professional speaking industry. By hosting this event, MPSA emphasizes its
commitment to equipping Maldivians with the skills and expertise to excel both
locally and internationally.
With its focus
on mentorship, networking, and actionable insights, the MPSA Professional
Speakers Summit is poised to leave a lasting impact, empowering participants to
