The Business Center Corporation (BCC), in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, has extended the deadline for applications to the Maldives MSME Awards 2025. Small and medium enterprises now have until October 9 at 23:59 to submit their entries.
The deadline,
which was initially set for October 2, has been extended by a week to provide
more opportunities for businesses across the country to participate. BCC stated
that the awards aim to recognize and celebrate the achievements of micro,
small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), highlighting their role in driving
economic growth and innovation in the Maldives.
Applications are
open for 13 categories that will be judged by an expert panel, along with 11
categories determined through public voting. Submissions can be made via the
official portal at https://msme.bcc.mv,
which has been set up specifically for this initiative.
The annual MSME
Awards are considered one of the most significant recognitions for small
businesses in the Maldives. According to BCC, the awards not only honor
outstanding success stories but also encourage entrepreneurship, enhance
visibility, and create pathways to new markets for Maldivian businesses.
BCC has urged as
many enterprises as possible to make use of the extended deadline, emphasizing
that the awards showcase the productivity, skills, and resilience of local
artisans and entrepreneurs while inspiring further progress in the sector.
