Bank of Maldives
(BML) has announced a major expansion of its services in Dh. Kudahuvadhoo,
unveiling a new Self-Service Banking ATM and commencing the construction of a
new branch to enhance banking accessibility in the atoll.
The
groundbreaking ceremony, a significant milestone in BML’s continued efforts to
expand financial services across the Maldives, was led by BML Chairman Ahmed
Ali Habeeb and CEO & Managing Director Mohamed Shareef. The event was
attended by His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, along with cabinet
ministers, government officials, and Kudahuvadhoo residents.
The newly
installed Self-Service Banking ATM will provide a wide range of financial
services, complementing the existing withdrawal ATM in the area. Customers will
now have access to cash deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and loan and
card payments around the clock, reducing the need to visit a physical branch
for routine transactions.
Speaking at the
ceremony, CEO & Managing Director Mohamed Shareef emphasized the bank’s
commitment to improving accessibility and convenience for communities across
the Maldives. “This investment in Kudahuvadhoo demonstrates our ongoing
commitment to bringing convenient banking services closer to our communities.
The new branch, once completed, will offer our full range of banking services
to the people of Dh. Kudahuvadhoo and surrounding areas.”
With a vast
network of 39 branches across all 20 atolls, 96 Self-Service Banking Centers,
152 ATMs, and Agent Banking Services, BML continues to play a pivotal role in
ensuring nationwide banking accessibility.
