Maldives to Host Climate Action Week 2026 by IIMPs: Global Youth Summit to Drive a Sustainable Future

The Maldives is set to welcome hundreds of young changemakers, innovators, and sustainability leaders from around the world as it hosts Climate Action Week (CAW) 2026, organized by the International Institute of Meta Professionals (IIMPs). Scheduled from January 15–18, 2026, the global sustainability event will take place in a hybrid format, combining in-person sessions in the Maldives with virtual participation across the globe.

Under the theme “Empowering Global Changemakers to Lead the Way in Climate Action: Shaping a Sustainable Future Together in 2026,” Climate Action Week Maldives 2026 will bring together individuals aged 15 to 50 — including youth leaders, professionals, policymakers, educators, and climate activists — to collaborate on innovative solutions addressing global environmental challenges.

Empowering the Next Generation of Climate Leaders

Hosted by IIMPs, a globally recognized institution dedicated to empowering young individuals to become leaders of tomorrow, the program aims to amplify youth voices in global climate decision-making. IIMPs is known for fostering collaboration between youth and world leaders, with a network of over 2,000 global partners, including organizations, policymakers, and experts from diverse fields.

“Climate Action Week Maldives 2026 is not just a gathering — it’s a movement,” the organizers said in a statement. “We aim to ensure that youth are not merely participants but active drivers of climate action and sustainability policy worldwide.”

A Transformative Experience for Participants

Participants will engage in interactive workshops, climate labs, policy simulations, and innovation challenges designed to provide practical, hands-on experience. In-person attendees in the Maldives will also have the opportunity to join field visits focusing on renewable energy, blue economy initiatives, sustainable cities, and eco-tourism. Virtual participants will join live collaborative projects and networking sessions.

The event will also feature exclusive mentorship opportunities with climate scientists, UN officials, sustainability entrepreneurs, and policymakers, offering participants guidance and support to scale their climate initiatives.

Networking and Global Exposure

CAW Maldives 2026 will serve as a global networking hub, enabling participants to build meaningful connections with international organizations, NGOs, investors, and government agencies. The program’s design encourages collaboration across borders, fostering partnerships that extend beyond the event itself.

Scholarships and Application Details

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, IIMPs offers several funding options: five fully funded, 25 partially funded, 100 forum access, and 170 self-funded seats. A small non-refundable application fee applies for those applying for funded positions. All applications will be reviewed competitively by an independent selection panel.

Applications are open until November 30, 2025, and individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply — whether they are students, educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, or volunteers. The working language of the summit is English, and participants must be able to attend the full four-day event.

Interested applicants can apply through the official website: https://iimps.org/climate-action-week/#pricing-section.

Maldives: A Symbolic Backdrop for Climate Action

As one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable nations, the Maldives provides a powerful and symbolic backdrop for this global gathering. Hosting Climate Action Week 2026 reinforces the country’s commitment to amplifying youth leadership and international cooperation in the fight against climate change.

Through this collaboration between IIMPs and the Maldives, Climate Action Week 2026 is poised to become a defining global platform for the next generation of changemakers — uniting vision, innovation, and action to shape a more sustainable future for all.
