The shareholders of Ooredoo Maldives have
approved a dividend of MVR 3.43 per share for the year 2024.
This decision was made at the Annual
General Meeting (AGM) held on Sunday, where shareholders participated both
physically and virtually. The physical meeting took place at the Ooredoo
Maldives Headquarters in K. Hulhumalé, while virtual participation was
facilitated through the Maldives Securities Depository’s online meeting
management system, “FahiVote.”
A total of 134,282,487 shares were
represented at the AGM, accounting for 90.85% of the total issued shares.
Additionally, the re-election and
appointment of Mr. George Bowring Challenor, Mr. Vikram Sinha, and Ms. Moza
Mohd A Y Darwish to the Board of Directors of Ooredoo Maldives were approved by
the majority shareholder, Wataniya International FZ-LLC.
The AGM was attended by 74 shareholders,
including 60 who were present in person and 11 proxyholders representing 14
shareholders.
As per the meeting agenda, shareholders also approved the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 7th March 2024, and the minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Sunday, 15th December 2024.
They also approved the audited financial statements
and auditors’ report for the year 2024, the company’s directors’ report for the
same year, and the appointment of KPMG as the company’s auditors for 2025,
along with the approval of their remuneration.
