The SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) has announced
that its services are now available through the Bank of Maldives (BML) Mobile
App, allowing customers to make payments and view facility details directly
through the app.
The integration, launched as part of a phased rollout,
enables SDFC customers to access financing information and complete payments
using the BillPay feature on the BML Mobile App. The move is expected to
provide a faster, safer, and more convenient way for businesses to manage their
financial transactions.
According to SDFC, customers can log in to the BML Mobile
App with their existing account credentials and navigate to the Accounts tab to
view key details such as outstanding facility amounts and monthly payment
schedules.
SDFC’s Chief Executive Officer, Badhurudheen Hassan,
described the integration as a major step toward the digital transformation of
SME services in the Maldives.
“This integration is an important step in our efforts to
digitize all services provided to SMEs. Connecting our facilities with the BML
Mobile Application will make it easier for customers to access services. This
will eliminate the need for manual bank transfers previously required for
facility payments while providing real-time updates, thereby expediting our
services,” he said.
To assist users, SDFC has also shared detailed instructions on how to make payments through the BillPay feature on its official social media channels.
SDFC’s majority shareholding is held by BML, which owns 85% of the issued shares.
